Welcome to The Seamstress LDN. Throughout this site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to The Seamstress LDN. By visiting our website and/or purchasing from us, you engage in our services and agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service.

These Terms apply to all users of the site, including without limitation browsers, customers, and merchants. Please read these Terms carefully before using our website.

SECTION 1 - USE OF OUR WEBSITE

By using our site, you confirm that you represent that you are at least the age of majority or are using the site under the supervision of a parent or guardian. You agree not to use our products for any unlawful or unauthorised purpose. To use the Services, including accessing or browsing our online stores or purchasing any of the products or services we offer, you may be asked to provide certain information, such as your email address, billing, payment, and shipping information. You represent and warrant that all the information you provide in our stores is correct, current.

SECTION 2 - OUR PRODUCTS

All items from The Seamstress LDN are handmade with care. Due to the nature of handmade products, slight variations in colour, texture, and finish may occur. These are not considered faults but part of the uniqueness of each piece.

We make every effort to display our products as accurately as possible, however colours may vary slightly depending on your device. All descriptions of products are subject to change at any time without notice at our sole discretion. We reserve the right to discontinue any product at any time and may limit the quantities of any products that we offer to any person.

SECTION 3 - ORDERS & CUSTOM PIECES

All orders placed are subject to acceptance and availability.

Many of our pieces are made to order or customised. By placing an order, you acknowledge that:

  • Production times may vary and will be communicated where possible
  • Each item is individually handmade and may differ slightly
  • Custom or personalised orders cannot be cancelled once production has started

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion. Your order is not accepted until The Seamstress LDN confirms acceptance. We must receive and process your payment before your order is accepted. Please review your order carefully before submitting, as The Seamstress LDN may be unable to accommodate cancellation requests after an order is accepted. In the event that we do not accept, make a change to, or cancel an order, we will attempt to notify you by contacting the e‑mail, and/or phone number provided at the time the order was made.

You represent and warrant that your purchases are for your own personal or household use and not for commercial resale or export.

SECTION 4 - Made To Order POLICY

Some of our pieces are offered on a pre-order basis. This allows us to create each item with care, ensuring quality and attention to detail.

By placing a Made To Order, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

  • Production Time
    Made To Order items require additional time to be handmade. Estimated timeframes will be provided on the product page. These timelines are approximate and may vary.
  • Made to Order
    Each Made To Order item is individually crafted. As such, slight variations in colour, texture, or finish may occur. These are part of the unique nature of handmade pieces.
  • Payment
    Full payment is required at the time of placing a made to order. Your order will not enter production until payment has been received.
  • Cancellations
    Made To Order cannot be cancelled once production has begun.
  • Shipping
    Your item will be dispatched once it has been completed. If your order includes both Made To Order and ready to ship items, they may be shipped together once all items are ready.
  • Delays
    While we aim to meet all estimated timelines, delays may occur due to the handmade nature of our products or high demand. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

SECTION 5 - CUSTOM ORDERS

At The Seamstress LDN, we offer custom made pieces designed specifically for you. Each item is thoughtfully handcrafted, making every order truly unique. Our custom service is designed to create something truly personal and special. We encourage thoughtful ordering to ensure your piece is exactly as you envision.

By placing a custom order, you agree to the following;

Design Process

Custom orders are created based on the details discussed and agreed upon prior to purchase. It is your responsibility to ensure all specifications (such as size, colour, and design) are correct before confirming your order. Please make sure you double check your order before submitting.

Payment

Full payment is required before production begins unless otherwise agreed. Your order will not be started until payment has been received.

Production Time

Custom pieces require additional time to create. Estimated timeframes will be communicated, however these are approximate and may vary depending on the complexity of the design.

Changes & Cancellations

Once production has begun, custom orders cannot be cancelled or significantly altered.

We may be able to accommodate minor changes early in the process, but this is not guaranteed.

Returns & Refunds

Due to the personalised nature of custom items, all custom orders are final sale and are not eligible for returns or refunds.

Sizing & Fit

Customers are responsible for providing accurate measurements where required. We are not responsible for fit issues resulting from incorrect measurements provided. 

Handmade Nature

Each piece is handmade, and slight variations in colour, texture, and finish are to be expected. These are part of the uniqueness of your item and are not considered faults.

Communication

We may contact you during the process if clarification is needed. Delays in response may impact production timelines.

SECTION 6 - PRICING AND PAYMENT

All prices are listed in GBP (£) and are subject to change without notice. Payment must be received in full before an order is processed.

Prices, discounts and promotions are subject to change without notice. The price charged for a product or service will be the price in effect at the time the order is placed and will be set out in your order confirmation email. You represent and warrant that (i) the credit card information you provide is true, correct, and complete, (ii) you are duly authorized to use such credit card for the purchase, (iii) charges incurred by you will be honored by your credit card company, and (iv) you will pay charges incurred by you at the posted prices, including shipping and handling charges and all applicable taxes, if any.

SECTION 7 - SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

Please refer to our Shipping Policy for full details. Delivery timeframes are estimates and not guaranteed. We are not liable for shipping and delivery delays. All delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays caused by shipping carriers, customs processing, or events outside our control. Once we transfer products to the carrier.

SECTION 8 - RETURNS & ISSUES

Due to the handmade nature of our products, we do not accept returns or exchanges.

If there is an issue with your order, you must contact us within 3 days of delivery, and we will do our best to resolve the matter.

SECTION 9 - INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content on this site, including images, designs, and branding, belongs to The Seamstress LDN and may not be used, reproduced, or distributed without permission. Our Services, including but not limited to all trademarks, brands, text, displays, images, graphics, product reviews, video, and audio, and the design, selection, and arrangement thereof, are owned by The Seamstress LDN.

 SECTION 10 - LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

We are not liable for any indirect or incidental damages arising from the use of our products or services.

SECTION 11 - GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

SECTION 12 - CHANGES TO TERMS

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of our website constitutes acceptance of any changes.

SECTION 13 - RELATIONSHIP WITH SHOPIFY

Our store is hosted by Shopify, which provides us with the online platform to sell our products.

All purchases made through this website are processed directly by The Seamstress LDN. Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of your purchase, including products, delivery, or customer service.
